Sometimes you have to take a stand for what you believe in. Sometimes the entire structure of your life is fighting against your deepest desire. These moments of extreme resistance, breakdown and depression are actually transition points from one type of living to the next. New life come with a hefty price. It is destructive. Your old life will fight back, push you down and tell you that you can’t have what you want. In those moments you must learn to tame The Drunk Monkey and take a stand for what you believe is possible. It’s not easy, it’s not effortless and it’s not enjoyable. It’s scary and hard. But the reward of your new life is worth the temporary pain and destruction. So go for it. Are you willing to take a stand for the life you want?

Hi Mathew,
I found this site last week, after I had hit an all time low in my life. My sister in is the terminal stages of cancer, so I am struggling at the minute. However, what also happened is that this has been a catalyst for making me acknowledging a lot of things that have been wrong in my life for a time. I have been aware of this for a while, but never really been committed to real change until now.
I've found so many helpful posts and comments already through this site. I've started to make changes and revisited today for further inspiration. I couldn't believe when I read your post. This could've been written for me! After the initial 'high' from last week, I could feel the doubts start to creep back in over the weekend. You comment about the old life fighting for survival is absolutely right and it has many tricks to lure you back. It is terrifying to be out here taking risks, but not as bad as living the ghost life that I was.
Thank you and best wishes,
Jules

There are tough times always in our lives. But what makes sense though is that, we learn from it. It is all up to us how to apply them whether we accept or deny that fact. To attain goals applies the same rule. You need to be wise. ---------- smart goals ----------

let's rephrase that and let's be in agreement by saying: If you take a stand, stand on what you take. how is that?
