* Want to eat better? Add more color to your diet: Rainbow of foods work
together to keep skin youthful and memory sharp *
The secret to youthful skin, healthy bones, sharp memory, and disease prevention
can be found in your fridge. The more colorful your diet, the more antioxidants
you get. These compounds reduce overall cellular damage and prevent the
hardening of the arteries that can lead to heart disease, stroke, even memory
loss. "Every hue -- green, yellow, orange, red, purple, and even white --
signifies a different class of nutrients, each of which offers a unique
benefit," explains USDA research chemist Ronald Prior, PhD, who was among the
first researchers to measure the antioxidants in food that protect us as we age.

* Kids with sensitive skin may be allergic to oats *
Children with skin allergies may be allergic to oat proteins commonly found in
skin products, study findings suggest.
Of 302 children seen at a pediatric dermatology unit in Bordeaux, France, nearly
one third had a positive skin reaction to oats, report Dr. Franck Boralevi, at
the Hopital Pelligrin-Enfants, and colleagues.

* Signs drive shoppers to take the stairs *
Attention all shoppers: taking the stairs protects your heart. That's the
message researchers tried at a suburban shopping mall by putting up colorful
signs along the steps of a staircase, and it worked. Over six weeks, use of the
stairway next to an escalator more than doubled.
Normally, about 4 percent of people at the mall take the stairs but after adding
the signs, that went up to nearly 10 percent. The findings were recently
published in the American Journal of Health Promotion.

* 'Trauma and Desperation': The Serious Effects of a Sleepless Night:
Researchers Study the Impact of Sleep Deprivation on Our Ability to Function *
Tony Wright was tired, and with good reason. He'd been awake for 11 days, two
hours -- a world record.
"I tend to feel better in my body when I've been awake 4, 5, 6 days," he said.
Wright, a 43-year-old gardener from Cornwall, England, thinks sleep deprivation
might open a world of enhanced brain function. Most sleep researchers strongly
disagree.

* Nutrition *
At any given time, about one in three American adults is trying to lose weight,
and while their track record for trying is good, their track record for
succeeding is not. Why is that? It's because the typical diet approach is one
based on lack, deprivation, and limitation... there is a much easier, much more
fulfilling way. People could give up the dieting battles and food wars forever
by just realizing one thing. Most people's insatiable hunger has nothing to do
with the amount of food they ingest at all. What the majority of people who feel
continually unfulfilled are really craving on the deepest level is Love.

* Holistic And Rapid Transformation *
You really can create love, joy, and abundance now! You do have what it takes to
reach your desired goals. These can also be your success stories.
When Glen realized the truth about commitment, it no longer frightened him, and
he was finally willing to ask Sherry to marry him. Cindy's life was much more
fun after she overcame her negative thoughts about playing. Steve found himself
more at ease at work and at home when he realized he could simply demonstrate
his love and skills -- he did not have to try to prove himself.

* Happiness *
Isn't that fun? Be happy, have better health. I got this idea straight from Dr.
Christiane Northrup, MD, who is my favorite authority on women's health. She
appeared on Oprah a few weeks ago and talked about how emotional issues affect
health. She spoke eloquently on the topic of women needing to take care of
themselves first! I know that sounds selfish, but the best thing you can do for
your family is take care of you.
