* 'Mmm' hormone makes food look tasty: Natural molecule, named ghrelin, may be
linked to obesity, researchers say *
A hormone that makes people eat more works by causing food to look tastier.
This natural molecule, named ghrelin, actually improves perception and memory
when it comes to food.
"When you go to the supermarket hungry, every food looks better," said
researcher Alain Dagher, a neurologist at McGill University in Montreal. "Now,
we've found that it is ghrelin that acts on the brain to make food more
appealing."

* Many Depressed Older Adults Lack Vitamin D: Study Shows Link Between Low
Levels of Vitamin D and Depression *
Soaking in plenty of sunshine and drinking lots of milk might help fight off
depression in your golden years.
Researchers reporting in the May issue of Archives of General Psychiatry have
linked low blood levels of vitamin D -- the "sunshine vitamin" -- and increased
parathyroid hormone levels to depression among older adults.

* Even After Weight Loss, Fat Cells Remain: Slimming Down Makes Fat Cells
Smaller, but Doesn't Get Rid of Them *

being overweight, a new study shows.
Adults have about the same number of fat cells in their body constantly, even
after losing a significant amount of weight, Swedish researchers say.

* Aromatherapy *
Our five senses act as messengers that deliver information to the brain, which
is processed and responded to in predictable ways. These messages are just
information; it's how we respond that's important. In all cases, if we change
the message being sent, we can change the behavior:
Think about your response to these two different messages delivered to our five
senses:
Hearing -- an opera or hip hop
Seeing -- a sunset or a garbage dump
Tasting -- ice cream or chili peppers
Touching -- tender kiss or a pinch
Smelling -- perfume or rotten eggs

One of the best ways to burn more calories in your workouts is simply to use
more full body movements. The reason for this is simple. Your body burns 5
calories for every liter of oxygen it consumes, and the more muscle required for
a given movement, the more oxygen it needs.
If, for example, you perform a set of seated biceps curls, I'm sure you can
appreciate that you wouldn't be huffing and puffing, right? Therefore, there
isn't a great oxygen demand for that type of movement because it is solely
focusing on the small biceps muscles.

* Spiritual Healing *
You were born with the ability to transform the landscape of your life.
You have the ability to benefit from the challenges you are living and to
advance even further toward the fulfillment of your desires because of them.
With practice, your problems can become no more than springboards into greater
satisfaction in your life.
Spiritual Healing creates results that would seem impossible through other
methods. The list of possibilities is longer than I can fit in this small
article. ...
