** THE TOP 10 THINGS to do WHEN YOU CAN'T GET MOTIVATED **
----------------------------------------------------
1. Take a minivacation from everything, even if you can only squeeze out eight hours of
time.
If you can't get motivated, maybe it's time to take some time for yourself and pamper
yourself a little bit.
2. Go to bed an hour early that night so you can catch up on your rest. Or take a
nap.
A majority of Americans are sleep deprived. Plentiful rest is essential to your
effectiveness and your motivation levels.
3. Figure out what you're putting up with that's sapping your energy and deal with it
permanently, i.e., "Zap" a toleration.
4. Get some exercise. Start with a ten minute walk and see how you feel after that.
Exercise will give you energy and clear your head. And if you're having trouble motivating
yourself to exercise, then promise yourself you'll quit after ten minutes--usually your
endorphins will kick in, and you'll want to continue to exercise.
5. Review your goals, and throw out the ones you don't really want. You can always pick
them back up again later, if you want them.
6. Turn whatever it is that you can't get motivated about into a game.
Get a calendar and some star or smiley face stickers, and use a sticker every day that you
exercise/eat right/get enough rest/make enough sales calls.
7. Hire someone to handle whatever it is that you can't get yourself to do.
A personal trainer to motivate you to exercise, a maid to clean your house, a coach to
help you set up action plans and goals that you'll enjoy reaching.
8. Listen to some motivational music.
The theme song to Rocky is a good one to get your emotional state changed. Any music that
you enjoy and that is fairly high energy should do the trick--think aerobics class, not
honky tonk.
9. Listen to your favorite motivational tapes.
I like Tony Robbins, Steven Covey, and Brian Tracy.
10. Ask your boss, spouse, coach, or best friend for a pep talk--and be sure that they are
unconditionally constructive with you. You don't need to be brow-beaten into action.
That's emotionally expensive and rarely effective.

** BOOK REVIEW: The Invisible Path to Success : Seven Steps to Understanding and Managing
the Unseen Forces Shaping Your Life - by Robert Scheinfeld **
----------------------------------------------------
With a heapin' helpin' of self-help books flooding bookstore shelves, it's quite difficult
to find the one that right for you.
Not only do you want tried-and-true material (you know, something that works), you
want to be able to relate, to bring it into your life in a meaningful way.
Well, for all you movie-goers out there, here's one for you. The Invisible Path to Success
relates the process of creating a better life to movies, from writing scripts to
being your own director. And this makes learning fun, as it's very easy to
understand. And not only that, it is written by a guy who was totally in the dumps, and
learned how to pull himself out of the emotional dumpster. He now enjoys peace of
mind and heart, has gained financial success, and has a wonderful marriage.
Discover your deepest, truest self. Manage your fears. Design your path to success. This
book will help you obtain these with simple, tried-and-true steps.
Buy your ticket to success, as the show is about to begin.

Catalog Company - Lean and Green and making a difference
"-.The company's headquarters in the Portland suburb of Hillsboro was one of Oregon's
first "green" buildings when it was completed in 1993. Recycled materials were
used whenever possible in the construction. The lobby floor is made from Philippine
Apitong wood salvaged from decommissioned railroad boxcars. The "stone" walls
are actually a mix of cement powder and crushed beer bottle or windshield glass. Ceiling
tiles in the meeting rooms are constructed from recycled newspaper and phone books. Even
the paint used is recycled primer."

"About 390,000 people, the vast majority children, undergo tonsillectomies each year.
It's recommended for chronic throat infections, considered six in a single season or four
to five infections a year for several years. Yet surgeons say unlike in previous
decades, half to three-fourths of today's operations are not for infections but for
obstructive sleep apnea. That disorder causes short stops in breathing when something
blocks airflow during sleep. In kids, the blockage often is large tonsils; adult apnea
usually has other causes."
