Packing for a trip is not always an easy task for women. I know that when I travel, many times I over pack my luggage as I always think that I will never have enough to wear. I'm sure a lot of other women are like me in that respect. Also, if you think about it, women have a lot more clothing items and accessories than men do when it comes to fashion. So, how to make it easier when you travel? Here are some fashion tips to make packing for your travels much easier and simpler.
Know what occasions you are packing for and plan appropriately. If you are traveling for a wedding or a business meeting you know what kind of clothing you will need to wear. If you are traveling for a fun vacation, then try to plan out what kind of special things you are going to do, such as a nice evening out were you will get dressed up. This way you can write out a list of the different types of outfits you will need and the ones you can leave at home.
Choose clothing that you can mix and match with each other. You still be in fashion doing this. Pick neutral colored bottoms and tops that will go with them and you can mix and match with several different bottoms. Get a dressy watch, like the Henry Jay watch from Great Watches. This watch can work in a night out or on a sightseeing tour of the city. Having diverse accessories and watches will cut down on the number of pieces of clothing that you will have to bring. Which means you will have more room in your luggage for new clothing!
Try to wear and bring jewelry that is neutral and will go with several different outfits. If you know that you are going to have some special occasions during traveling you can bring your "special" jewelry for that, but otherwise keep your accessories and jewelry simple and easy.
Even if you are going someplace that is always warm, remember to bring a sweater just in case. The oddest things can happen and many places that you think are so warm, can get chilly at night. Also, if you happen to get a sunburn while you are traveling, you can use the sweater to cover yourself up with.
Keep shoes to a minimum. Yes, I love shoes too, but they weight a lot and are hard to pack. Just like your jewelry, try to bring shoes that are neutral and that will go with several different outfits. If you are going to a warm place., like the beach, flip-flop like sandals are a good option, as they are small, light and take up less room in the luggage. Flats are also another great shoe option when traveling. You also want to pack appropriately for what you will be doing while traveling.
If you know that you will be doing a lot of walking, make sure that you pack a comfortable pair of shoes, as you do not want blisters on your feet ruining your trip.
Bring extra undergarments. You never know what may happen and you do not want to run out of clean underwear during the middle of traveling. Same goes for bras. Make sure you have the appropriate bras for the outfits you have brought. If you have strapless dresses you will be wearing, do not forget to pack your strapless bra.
Don't forget to pack all your toiletries also, but remember you do not need to pack your whole bathroom up. Most hotels have a blow dryer, so you can leave that at home. Only bring the makeup that you know you will need, along with perfumes and hair supplies.
If you ever forget anything, do not worry. Unless you are traveling to a deserted island, you will most likely be able to find a store where you can purchase an item that you forget to pack!
