This is a great video... and brief too! Jim focus is that fact that EQ is a better "success indicator" or "predictor of success" than IQ is.
This is not a question of education or not; this is question of effectiveness as a person... and much research shows that there is a point where intelligence becomes a "hindrence".
And the research referred to here by Jim, indicates that having a higher EQ, versus IQ, proves to be a better way of predicting effective (and, ergo, success) as a person.
Jim is very knowledgeable and an excellent presenter. I think it could have been a little more juicy in content, as he gave the impression that education isn't the key to success; when in actual fact I believe it is. Successful people aren't necessarily intelligent? They could have a better EQ according to tests carried out. So it isn't always a question of getting the right education or proper training; but it certainly helps! I don't think telling students that they don't need to study will make parents very happy.
I knew a bit about EQ and IQ and this presentation helped me understand that both are recognized. This was very helpful especially since I came from a corporate background where IQ was the only way things were measured.
