I often hear Christians and non-Christians
acknowledge that God or the universe will pour
you out a blessing that you will not have room
enough to receive.

I am in agreement with the scripture or
affirmation but my question is not addressing
abundance or overflow. Today my question
in dealing with your ability to receive, hold
or absorb. What is your potential for growth or
development? What is your capacity to believe
and receive?

Take a look with me if you will at several items
used to contain water, a glass, water pitcher,
bucket, pond, river and an ocean.
The containers represent your mental capacity to
believe and receive and the water symbolizes
blessings (wisdom, knowledge, opportunities,
favor etc.).

Each container can receive and hold water but the
amount of there volume varies from small to
enourmous.Let’s imagine for a moment that you
are a glass (your mental capacity to believe
and receive) and I am a water pitcher
(my mental capacity to believe and receive).
And I start to pour my blessings (wisdom,
knowledge, opportunities, favor etc.)into
you the glass.

You would only be able to receive and contain the
blessings to the level equal to the capacity
to which the glass was designed. In other words
you would become full long before my capacity to pour
out was exhausted.

So it stands to reason that if you want increase
you must “enlarge your capacity.” It would be silly
of me as a water pitcher to become bitter, envious
or jealous of the bucket, pond, river or ocean.

Because if the bucket, pond, river or ocean poured
out all of their contents (wisdom, knowledge,
opportunities, favor etc.) into me. As a water
pitcher (my mental capacity to believe and receive)

I would only be able to receive and hold the
capacity of a water pitcher (my mental capacity to
believe and receive.)

Your accumulations in life are related to your
capacity to believe and receive.

Next time I will share some methods and resources
you can use to “Enlarge Your Capacity.”

YOU ARE JUST A STEP AWAY!
