Nowadays MLM seems like a bad word over the internet. Why is that? Maybe it is because the lack of experience, lack of success or maybe, just as it happened with the dot.com companies, everything gets into the right proportions.

It is a fact that people seems to look for the magic formula, the ultimate quick solutions. Well my friends, face it. There isn’t such a thing. Building an MLM business is like building any other business: it takes time, professionalism and devotion.

I’m about to tell you some bitter truths about MLM. Most people get involved in MLM with all sort of misconceptions of what it really takes to obtain financial freedom. Most people think that MLM doesn’t require much time before they see their first commission check. But it does! And when it does often it wont be a very large one. As a matter of fact, most MLM pros can tell you they had little tiny checks when they first started (well, hech, It took me 5 months to get 70$ by recruiting 7 people). All I’m saying it is very common for such a thing to happen so you have nothing to worry about. If you’re a winner you can fight back till you succeed. However, the important thing is that you must understand that this business (as any other new business) requires time.

Successful advertising is a combination of methods: if you’ll use one or to of the tools and disregard the rest, you will fail. Depending on someone else to do your job is not going to work. On the other hand, if you’ll work within a system, combining all the tricks and tools, you will succeed.

In order to become successful in building your MLM business you have to consider these steps before.

1. Don’t believe everything you read: when reading about miracles that might happen to you in a short time (or to your pockets to be more exact), it is appealing but in most cases it is not the truth. You have to learn to take the main idea that behind these offers. You have to activate your logic, ask yourself questions. If you like the idea of it, explore more offers with the same ideas, they might be better or worse, but at least you’ll know what it’s all about.

2. Don’t hurry to buy any service or product: they might be free in another site. They might be replaceable or you simply can do without it. Just think of how many times you purchased products that you didn’t need.

3. Learn from other’s people mistakes and experience: if you have no experience in marketing on line, don’t bet that you will succeed After you have had some success you will be able to tell the difference between a good idea and a bad one.

4. The search for information: don’t think you have invented the wheels - many have written about it. So, in almost any matter there is an available information. Search for the truth.

5. Newsletters: there are a lot of professional newsletters. Subscribe to some of them and read. The secret is al about reading and learning from others mistakes. But remember, reading only…J

6. Questions: you don’t have to learn everything by yourself. Participate in a targeted discussion groups, message boards. You can find very useful information. Ask as many questions as possible. People will answer (as their way to advertise themselves..)

7. Be serious about it: if you are planning to make a living out of the internet you have to spend many hours to study. You will have no success if you start right away. The preparations take longer than the action and they are extremely important.

8. Search engines are a great source for information. I would have to recommend Google www.google.com as my favorite one. You can find information almost on any topic. Just pick one..

9. Spam: I know, people might consider this annoying but a lot of useful information is coming from there. So it’s worth having a look from time to time. In the past, I have discovered some really useful ideas in my mailbox.

So, I think there is a future for the MLM. Actually, it is getting better. More people are joining every day to one of the MLM companies knowing that its not going to be easy and quick but it is within the possible. Join with your eyes open and with the flame to succeed.

Good luck,
Yaron Gazit
