Two roads diverged in the middle of my life
I heard the wise man say.
I took the one less traveled by,
And that's made the difference.
Every night and every day.

If you've seen "The Secret" or "What The Bleep Do We Know", read "The Attractor Factor" by Joe Vitale or what the Bible has to say about faith, or heard any of thousands of preachers and teachers of universal law you realize as human beings we are constantly helping create our personal and shared reality. Co-creating with God and one another.

The book of Genesis says we were created in the image of God and given dominion over this physical world our senses know. The crazy world of quantum physics is confirming that on a daily basis. So what we think, feel, visualize, imagine, and say has a dramatic effect on the world we live in. And it's not always the effect we want.

Genesis also says in some sense mankind fell and that Divine image has been marred or forgotten. We've come unplugged and separated from our spiritual nature so our power is limited, but the human race has still been designed to govern in this world. It's like we've been handed a lease on a house, and it's our responsibility to keep it up, decorate it, and manage it the way we want, but we’ve run out of money. God is the builder and owner, but He's left the practical day to day details to us, and He’s also the source of the money.

Through the ages most haven't realized this so the co-creating we've been doing has largely been by default, without awareness of how or what we were doing. That explains the evil mess we've made of things sometimes. And blaming outside forces has kept us from realizing our power. As a Christian I believe what God was doing in Christ Jesus was enpowering us back to full participation in the Divine nature.

Until we understand how things work we will continue to create situations and outcomes we really don't want though. That's why so many people are interested in mind over matter, faith, and manifesting these days. It's in our spiritual DNA. It's what we were made to do, and we're learning to do it.

The Yang

You're probably familiar with some teaching about universal law like the law of attraction and deliberate, purposeful, conscious creating. Joe Vitale has five steps in “The Attractor Factor”. Dr. Robert Anthony has the "Secret of Deliberate Creation". My young friend and Mastermind partner Russell Yermal has a "Formula for Getting Anything You Want" in ten steps. Two good friends of mine, Brian Campbell and Steve Pohlit have even created a Manifesting Mastermind community at:

Jesus very clearly taught and practiced manifesting or natural faith in the context of prayer, asking, binding, loosing, and commanding what you want.

The just shall live by faith. [Hebrews 10:38]

Jesus answered and said to them, "Have the faith of God". For truly, I say to anyone who says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes what he says will come to pass, he will have whatever he says.

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe you receive them, and you will have them manifested. [Mark 11:22-24]

The prayer of faith will save the sick. [James 5:15]

As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without actions is dead. [James 2:26]

All things are possible to him who believes. [Mark 9:23]

For we walk by faith and not by sight. [2 Corinthians 5:7]

As you have believed, so be it done for you. [Matthew 8:13]

These strategies and dozens more have great value. They teach you to focus on your desires with feeling and take inspired action and remain receptive until they manifest from the unseen energy/vibrational realm into the material sensory universe.

All have much in common, and I think of them as masculine forms of manifesting. Not that you have to be a male to use them, but they are outgoing, active approaches. It's what the Chinese would call yang. Of course energy works best in circuits and to make a return path with the least resistance you need to also be receptive which is a yin quality. You initiate the process, but you can’t ultimately make it happen. You have to let go, but still the predominant factor is yang.

The Yin

There is another equally valid, equally effective process of manifestation which I think of as feminine manifesting. It is a more internal, passive process. It uses more yin qualities.

In this method you don't have to enumerate your desires and focus on them. You can, but your intention is not where the power comes from. Instead, in meditation, prayer or whatever way you favor you focus on the Divine, God, Source, Universal Mind, etc. and Divine attributes like Love, Gratitude, Good, etc. You identify with that in your spirit or higher self, and as your vibration level rises you tend to naturally and easily manifest all manner of good things like a rising tide floating all boats.

This is typified in what Gary Evans calls "Easy Manifesting" at:

http://www.deandelker.com/easy_manifesting.html

Also I believe it is what makes the Hawaiian kahuna “Ho'oponopono” method work so well. Certainly the parts where you focus on "I love you" and "I thank you" qualify.

And this more passive mode of manifesting is also very Biblical. Substitute your concept of God or Lord in the following powerful promises:

Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart. [Psalm 37:3-5]

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths smooth. [Proverbs 3:5-6]

The LORD is my shepherd. I shall not want. [Psalm 23:1]

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light. [Matthew 11:28-30]

Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the heathen seek after all these things. But your heavenly Father knows you need these. But seek first the kingdom of GOD and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you. [Matthew 6:31-33]

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love GOD, to those who are called according to His purposes. [Romans 8:28]

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. [1 Corinthians 13:13]

And this yin approach still has yang factors too helping make it a complete circuit. You are projecting your attention and your love toward the Divine. You are choosing to worship and dwell in Divine presence where all good things originate.

Put It All Together

I don't have this all figured out by any means. I just thought about it in these terms recently. Note how both methods include yin and yang just in different parts of the circuit, and in different proportions.

And both have their weak points. Masculine manifesting methods seem to me to be more prone to kicking up resistance, but the feminine methods seem to require a large degree of trust.

Note how Co-creating and Pro-creating have much in common too. Loving sex is maybe the perfect example of manifesting. The masculine seeking and joining with the feminine is where unbelievable power, energy and joy are released and new life can be the result. In both there are times to be action-oriented and focused outward, and there are times to be passive, letting go, and focused inward.

Meditate on these things, start putting them into practice, and I believe your manifesting skills will move to higher and higher levels.
