"What you get by reaching your destination is not nearly as important as what you will become by reaching your destination."
- Zig Ziglar

In this article, rather than add to your "to do" list with more ways to improve your current situation, I thought I'd take a different approach. I ask you instead: What is already perfect in your life? Even if you feel you have a long way to go before your life is exactly how you want it, I invite you to take a look around at what you already have and do that is perfect for you right now. Do you love where you live? Even if the answer isn't an absolute YES, think about what you do like. Do you like the street you live on? Your yard? Your living room? Bathtub? The colors of your walls? Do you have the perfect pet for you? The perfect partner? Child? Parent? Do you love your clothes or even one particular outfit? Is there an activity you engage in that is perfect?

Even if after looking around you can only find one thing in your life that you feel is perfect right now, you can still benefit from this exercise. After identifying what is perfect, ask yourself: Why? What about that person, item, color, feeling is perfect? How does it make you feel? What does it tell you about yourself? You can choose to write down your answers or just let them marinate in the back of your mind for a while. Ultimately, you will have revealed to yourself some of the criteria you have for your perfect life. All from just looking around and seeing what is working for you so well today.

After you know what is already perfect, and why it is perfect for you, you can use that information to attract more perfect into your life. Start discarding the things and behaviors that didn't make it onto your perfect list to free up the space and energy in your life to add more of what is perfect for you now. Start basing the choices you make on whether or not something is "perfect." Before you know it you will have far more perfect in your life than imperfect. All this because you took a few quiet moments one day to consider what is perfect in your life already.
