I feel like I talk about this all the time and today I wanted to give you some more specific steps for getting to that really juicy clarity that I want you to have. Since you attract what you put your focus on, the more clearly you can envision what you want, the more focused your energy can be. That means, you can be faster and more precise in your manifesting. And, of course, you can't manifest what you want at all if you don't know what it is that you want.

So, in this article, I'm going to guide you through a simple exercise that is going to help you get that clarity. First, take a moment to write out a list of areas in your life that are important to you. Your list might include things like: your physical environment, career, money/finances, health, relationships - friends and family/romantic, fun and recreation, personal growth, spirituality, etc. List the areas that matter to you. Next, rank your satisfaction with each of these areas on a scale of 0 – 10 (where 0 is completely miserable with nothing being the way you want it and 10 is blissful with almost no way for it to be any better).

Now, choose one area where you want to make an improvement in your life. Choose the area to work on based on what is really important to you rather than automatically choosing the area with the lowest satisfaction score. Have it be an area that you know if you made improvement there, it would greatly improve the overall quality of your whole life. Choose the area where making a change is most important to you.

Your next step is to make a list of everything you don't like about the area that you chose. So for example, if you chose health, your list might look something like:
I am 50 pounds overweight
I have no energy/I'm tired all the time
I'm embarrassed by how I look
I can't wear the clothes I like because they don't come in my size
I have pain in my knees from all the extra weight
I feel ugly and like no one could every be attracted to me
etc.

Get it all down, everything you dislike about your current situation. Now, one at a time, turn each of those statements around to create a positive statement of what it is you desire in that area. In the example I just gave, the new list might look like this:
I am at my ideal, healthiest body weight
I'm full of energy
I love the way I look
My wardrobe is amazing, I have all the latest fashions and I look great in them
My body is comfortable and flexible, and I feel great.
I know I look good and I am confident in my appeal.

Don’t worry if these things aren’t true for you yet. You need to see these statements in order to get to where you want to go. Once you have turned all your negative statements into positive statements, take that list transform it into a narrative statement. This becomes your goal for that area of your life. You can either condense the list down into a brief and easy to memorize summary desire/goal statement or you can elaborate on your list and create a longer, more detailed vision statement by creating a script for "a day in the life" of the you who you want to be - what I call a compelling future vision.

Once you have your desire statement or compelling future vision, read it every day at least twice a day - when you wake up in the morning and just before you go to sleep at night. If you created the shorter summary, say it to yourself all throughout your day.

This technique is deceptively simple. Stick with it and you will experience revolutionary scale positive change in your life.
