When you first begin working on manifesting something you want, you naturally have a strong belief that it’s possible. Without this belief, you wouldn’t even bother to try. From this belief, you begin doing the things that you know will bring forth the outcome you desire, like reciting affirmations, creating vision boards, visualizing daily, and so on.

For awhile, things seem to move along fine. You may even start to see small changes taking place that seem to confirm you are on the right track and making progress.

Then, more often than not, you may encounter some obstacles that threaten your belief. Progress may seem to stall so that it seems like you are doing a lot of work but nothing is happening; or circumstances in your life may seem to “fall apart” spontaneously, even if they are unrelated to your current goal.

When this happens, you may be tempted to lose faith. Little by little you may start to feel that perhaps you were foolish for believing that you could manifest this wonderful new experience, object or situation into your life. You may even begin to doubt that the Law of Attraction is real.

What you may not realize is that by losing faith and letting your belief fade, you are in effect setting a new intention – one that ensures that your original desire does not manifest.

The important thing to realize in situations like this is that your belief has the power to determine which way things go from this point on. If you believe the situation can be turned in a positive direction and progress resumed quickly, it will probably happen just like that. If you believe that all is lost and you have “failed” – you will create such an outcome.

Here are two good ways to use the power of belief in your favor in manifestation:

Strengthen Your Belief in Your Own Resiliency
No matter how intimidating, stressful, and chaotic a situation may be, keep affirming that you do have the ability to work through it and create something wonderful from it. State an affirmation like this over and over again each day, especially while going through difficult circumstances: “I know that I can handle anything that comes my way and manifest a positive outcome from the experience.”

Rekindle Your Original Passion and Conviction
When you first set your intention, you obviously believed that it was possible to attract it into your life – and you can easily build up that belief again. Say aloud, “I don’t know why things seem to be going wrong with this situation now, but I choose to believe that it can still turn out great in the end. I am passionate about my chosen outcome, and I know it will happen.”

Your very intention to keep believing, even in the face of challenges, will often be enough to carry you through any rough spots and keep you focused on the outcome you want.
