I achieved all of the goals I set for myself, I was a respected financial planner, I had regular TV and radio spots. I wrote for magazines, I was a best selling author, and it didn't make me happy. The work that I do today evolved out of my search for my life purpose. I discovered it in my values.
Anyone can achieve goals, but achieving goals in a way that makes you happy requires self knowledge. I have been working with a values based process I created since 1997, it really is transformational. I split values into 2 groups, being and having values. Your being values are the character traits of the ideal person you would like to be. Mastering these traits is part of your life purpose. Your having values are anything that makes you happy, by filling your emotional needs on a daily basis you create balance and the foundation for success.
My purpose is to share my knowledge and skills for the greater good of all. I do this by writing books, training life coaches and workshop facilitators.
To wish for a problem free life is to wish for the impossible dream. It simply doesn’t exist no matter how positive, wealthy, successful or focused you are. The key to living a happy life is to develop the habit of looking for the gift in your problems. Life’s problems are often the signposts that tell us that we need to: reassess who we are, how we respond, if we have beliefs and habits that are holding us back and whether our choices make us, and the people we care about, happy.
Life’s problems are simply life’s way of telling you it’s time to review. By accepting the challenge and looking for the good you can transform your life.
My intention is to teach people how to achieve their goals in a way that makes them happy. I publish an online inspirational magazine serendipityonlinemag.com and I welcome contributions.
I am the author of several books. I also work with clients individually to help them achieve their goals.
