David Lydon has been writing and performing for over a decade. Originally sparked back to creative life by the emotional honesty of performers like Kurt Cobain and Tori Amos, he has since found and rediscovered some long standing influences, chief among them being unique and creative singers such as John Lennon, David Bowie and Leonard Cohen.
Although he initially released music on compilation albums and limited edition e.p's, "Hello Ugly Hello Friend" is David's first album, and contains the best of songs written over a 12 year period. Some were recorded as long as 8 years ago and were brought in and remastered to be released here.
