Acupuncture and Chiropractic work very well together. In my office I assess the spine and muscles with palpation and physical exam, then check the pulses and inspect the tongue, taking a detailed history to form a specific treatment plan. The spine, extremities, and attached muscles hold tension and don't move properly where energy blockages exist. These are frequently referred to as trigger points, arthritis, subluxations, and others. Emotional and environmental influences affect symptoms as well and patterns are created within our bodies which, as an acupuncturist, I see as blocking specific meridians or channels. As a chiropractor I use specific adjustments to mobilize these areas which helps to reduce tension and improve movement. I use acupuncture to treat the meridian system to help the body on this deeper level.
