On overcoming Bankruptcy and Financial Struggle.
This is a big one. I have told my story in my bio area. With one of my business interests I made several mistakes that resulted in my bankruptcy. This meant I was homeless for a time and that I had to Bounce Back after losing everything with any real financial value. It has taken time and I would wish much better experiences on everyone.
The key advice I would always give in such a situation is relatively simple, and it is this :
- Acknowledge that You Made a Mistake or Mistakes
- Accept that you won't want to make the same mistakes again
- Forgive Yourself Completely
- Keep Your Own Counsel on what went wrong
- Make an Inventory of all your Skills and Enthusiasms
- Realise You can Now Do Better with what you have learned
