Rachel Charles is a Psychosynthesis counsellor, integrative psychotherapist and supervisor, and a Senior Accredited Practitioner of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. A particular interest in the effect that the state of mind and emotions have on the body has also led her to become a specialist in the complementary health field. She is devoted to helping people personally and professionally and also through her writing and is the author of several books. Recently she set up her own publishing company, Selfheal Books.
Rachel was brought up in the north-west of England, U.K., and gained her first degree from Bristol University. She spent several years in publishing before training in psychotherapy and gaining an MPhil in Psychology from London University. Now she combines her private therapy practice with writing and research. Spare moments are spent music-making, for she is also an accomplished cellist.
