My passion for counseling, teaching, writing and speaking about effective problem solving and relationship resolution -- ranging from attracting the relationship you want, to creating authentic closure -- has led to the development of two success philosophies that I share with private clients, groups and businesses.
The Karmically Correct Problem Solving Method™ helps today’s professionals see their challenges through the open eyes of opportunity and to identify the major benefits of making decisions that consider the best interests of most people.
The Spiritual Mirror Relationship Model™ helps people stop the destructive repeating patterns that keep them from the life they want to experience by viewing themselves, their circumstances and all of the people in their lives with gratitude and clarity.
My first book, The Spiritual Mirror: A Biographical Guide to Mastering Relationships from the Inside Out is based upon this relationship model and will be available in the spring of 2010. In addition to writing my own book, I contributed to the book, So You Want to be a Counselor by Barbara Nefer.
I place high value on experience, education, life-long learning, the therapeutic relationship and being a transparent and relatable person. These values are reflected in all areas of my life, including my work and this biography (I only write my bios in third person when I am advised to by an employer).
I draw from my professional background as a spiritual counselor in private practice to Long Island’s most elite professionals, as a case supervisor to psychologists, coaches and healthcare providers and as a teacher at the New York College of Health Professions, where I taught Medical Ethics and Public Health courses.
I also incorporate elements from my diverse education; I received my degree in Sociology and Communications from Hofstra University and am affiliated with Columbia University and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners as a graduate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition as a Holistic Health Counselor.
After my college graduation, I studied in a seminary for nearly three years, learning spiritual healing and counseling techniques, archetypal energy healing and intuitive diagnostic skills. I graduated from The School of Divinity as a legally entitled counselor and am designated in the caring ministry as a certified bereavement counselor.
I am someone who strongly believes that those of us who help others need to help ourselves. When I am not meeting with clients, teaching classes, facilitating groups, working on special writing projects and enjoying a fulfilling personal life, I am sitting on the counseling couch as a client and receiving the help I need to keep my life in order and moving forward in a positive direction. I also receive case supervision to ensure that I uphold the highest standards of integrity and continue to deliver my very best professionally.
