EDUCATION
After receiving her Bachelor's degree from Nova University, Dr. Diaz went on to earn her doctorate in General Psychology and Psy.D in Clinical Psychology at the Carlos Albizu University in Miami, Florida.
She completed her internship at the Miami Children's Hospital providing individual, group and family therapy to children and adolescence suffering from post traumatic stress disorders, attention deficit, psychosis, and mood disorders, also performing psychological evaluations and participating in psychiatric consultations. Following her internship, Dr. Diaz completed a one year residency position at The Everglades Correctional, Inc. Throughout her career, Dr. Diaz has also served as therapist at various facilities such as The Southern Winds Psychiatric Hospital, The Godman Psychological Center, Wynwood Community Mental Health Inc, and New Hope Community Health Center.
Dr. Diaz teaches Doctoral, Masters and undergraduate courses as an Assistant Professor and Practicum Coordinator at Carlos Albizu University in the areas of Abnormal Psychology, Group Dynamics, Ethics, Developmental Pyschology, Theories of Learning, Mental Health Care Delivery Systems, Professional Speaking and Clinical Practica, Supervise Peer Mentoring Tutoring Program Students.
