Even before I could walk, I was in love with horses. Obviously that meant that more than most kids, as a little buck-a-roo guy, I wanted my own pony. Truth is -- my desire was all consuming. And that was inspite of the reality that our family of five was barely able to make ends meet in our small apartment on the outskirts of Philadelphia. My long suffering parents used to tell everyone that their little red-headed son, "Tommy eats, breathes and sleeps horses." Mom and Dad not only let me enter every win-a-pony contest that came to our small town, they even encouraged me. I guess they felt pretty "safe' in allowing me to try to make my pony-dream come true - considering that the "ODDS" of anyone ever drawing my ticket, as the winner, were heavily against me.

But the thing that was in my favor was mySelf. Mostly out of just not knowing any better then to block or doubt my truest feelings, I completely - a thousand per cent - believed in myself and my dream. I felt totally worthy (a testiment to my parents' loving ways) and more than that: I intuitively, absolutely "knew" that if I stayed focused, thought the right thoughts, prayed, followed my heart...and did everything I could to get my pony...I would realize my heart's desire.

And wouldn't you know it...At the age of ten, after entering probably fifty win-a-pony drawings, and then finally a special contest on TV (wherein each contestent had to make a cattlebrand out of their initials -- mine being TAN) I designed the perfect Lightning-T-Horseshoe brand and -- I WON A PONY! (I won MY pony!).

And, a bit ironically I realize now, I named her "LUCKY." It's ironic because it was anything but luck, or happenstance, that brought me and my dream pony together. It was me dancing with the universe in a truly loving, authentc and purposefully manifesting way. How that experience changed all of our lives, and taught me the greatest secret to manifesting your heart's desires, is lovingly offered in my new book: MEMO FROM YOUR SOUL -- subtitled; Trusting Your Inner Wisdom to Guide You to Fulfillment.

Imagine that you're taking a walk one day and you find a little. heart shaped mirror in your path. So you pick it up and dust it off. You instantly sense that there is something different about this mirror. It feels special. For one thing, the glass is so clear you have to tap on it to be sure it is even there.

How might you feel... if when you held it up and gazed at your reflection you experienced the following insights:

First, you see what you would expect to see - your face and your features. You may notice that you missed a spot shaving or perhaps discover a new wrinkle. But then you notice that you are also able to "see" beyond your personal mask and into deeper aspects of your being. As soon as you realize that, you find yourself face to face with your Spiritual Essence.

The light of your essential self (the real you in you) suddenly illuminates your consciousness. And with perfect clarity, your soul's plan and purpose is revealed within. You had never even imagined such a feeling of authenticity - bottom line "realness."

At first, overwhelmed by this profound surprise, you tell yourself that you are either hallucinating...or maybe this is some kind of a miracle. How else could someone gain such direct access to the depths of their spirit?

The next thing you know, your whole being is flooded with insight. And wisdom of you - the wisdom of your soul - pours into your heart. In that moment - that moment of feeling at one with the universe and (in and with) love - you realize that you are actually experiencing a (sacred) memory.

Thanks to your decision to look deeper into who you really are, you find yourself remembering that you came into this world by choice. And with the divine purpose of learning what you need to learn, growing into your Best Self...and creating a happy, healthy, full life of service to others, dreams realized and a life time of inner wealth.

As you continue to search for meaning in this wonderful looking-glass, you are reminded that it is through your choices and perceptions that you create and construct you life. As soon as you "get" that -- notions of fear and defensiveness are replaced with the love of life and a deep sense of Gratitude.

Victimhood is gladly traded for a deeper, and most welcomed, sense of self-respect and self-responsibility. And in this self-actualized state of total self love and acceptance, it becomes obvious that even your (so called) mistakes were invaluable keys to your learning and advancement.

In this light of recognizing the blending of your mind/body/spirit aspects of Self -- you know that you are part of the Universe (an extension of your version of God) and so obviously deserving of compassion, self-respect and happiness...that you can no longer even imagine living a life of fear, self-doubt, self-delusion or inauthenticity. In fact, all you can see yourself doing and being...is living a life based upon the truth of your open heart -- following the messages of your soul -- and finding (and sharing) fulfillment from within.
