After surviving a childhood of financial poverty, neglect, abuse and trauma, I became fixated on the question of how to heal from the misery of my youth, and how to liberate the energies in myself and others to change the world to make it more compassionate, just and sustainable. My search led me to Transactional Analysis, Rebirthing, Radience Breathwork, Co-Counseling, 12-step programs, yoga, gestalt therapy and many other paths of self-help and spiritual development.
My searches eventually led me to the work of the Rev. Matthew Fox, author of "The Coming of The Cosmic Christ," with whom I studied, worked and travelled for 6 years. During that time, I made a deep study of the use of dreams for learning, growth, healing and social empowerment, completng a Masters thesis on this topic. My journey in spiritual, emotional and social evolution took a dramatic turn when I was introduced to Emotional Freedom Techniques about 10 years ago.
Although it took me several more years to realize the power of EFT (it is easily, the MOST powerful change tool I have ever encountered), about 4 years ago, I began to make gigantic leaps and bounds in my healing, personal growth and search for inner peace and contentment. Using EFT's simple meridian tapping protocols, I literally wiped out 100% of the stress and pain issuing from the two most horrific trasumas of my youth. From there, I began immediately to help others recover from deep challenges as well. After helping people quickly bounce back from maiming accidents, sexual assaults, attempted murder, suicidal depression, surgical pain, fibromyalgia symptoms, and undiagnosable syndromes, I decided to pursue rigorous study of this discipline to become an EFT professional. I have been a full-time life and leadership coach, using EFT as my primary modality since 2008. I have since added hypnosis certification and Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) Master Practitioner certification to my skill set.
A couple of weeks ago I got a fortune cookie along with some bad Chinese takeout that was worth the full purchase price of my meal. Tiny slip of paper that I now hold in my wallet read, "Happiness is not pleasure; it is victory." I am happy to say that after decades of search and struggle, I have claimed victory and am now sharing this gift of radical resourcefulness and resilience that I have discovered with others.
