Anyone with Diabetes can use Giloy as it is an effective herb due to its hypoglycemiceffect. It has capability of lowering the levels of blood sugar and lipids. This helps to treat type 2 diabetes.
But be cautious if someone is already taking medicines for diabetes, because if in case giloy is consumed along with the medicines, it may further reduce the blood glucose levels, so better to consult doctor.
Giloy also good for treatment of eye disorders. Some phytochemicals present in it help to clarify the eyes and help to see better without use of your spectacles.
Decoction of Giloy is made along with triphala and mixing some honey and peepal powder in it. Consume this two times in a day. This tonic helps to improve the eyesight.
Use10 ml juice of Giloy and mix rock salt and honey in it and then apply this on your eyes. This natural remedy bring relief from scleral itching, cataract, and corneal disorders.
Giloy is found to be much effectiveto treat various mental disorders so it is a useful psychotropic herb which being an antioxidant agent helps to remove toxins from the nervous system and improves the functioning of brain. Giloy is also suitable herbal tonic in menstrual problem.
