Engage - Fuel Tomorrow’s Sustainability
The importance of engagement may seem passé but in reality, it is more important than ever. It continues to be the most desirable tool in the corporate and business community in the second decade of the 21st century.
It doesn’t matter whether your workforce is mostly male or female, young or old, the truth is, if they are not engaged, their productivity and performance are mediocre at best while your profits and sustainability dwindle.
In order to improve the productivity of those already engaged or to turn those from barely engaged to fully engaged, you need a plan. The simple ENGAGE acronym below will help you create a plan that increases productivity, profitability and sustainability.
Eliminate energy-draining stress creators! Every workplace environment has a flow of energy. It is either focused and productive, or unfocused, stress-filled and unproductive. When you remove chaos and clutter, performance improves.
Next-generation thinking needs a groundbreaking approach! New organizational standards for leadership are necessary for survival and for thriving in a new economy and marketplace. Eliminate the boxes that stifle and limit relationships, communication, productivity and profitability. Communicate, communicate, communicate! The upcoming generations want to know how they make a difference so they can engage.
Generate and re-generate your organization's thinking and workplace environment with cutting-edge strategies, tools and systems that will engage and focus your workforce on getting the results you want. Use mini think tank sessions and include all levels of the organization for problem solving and innovation. Their engagement improves if they feel their opinion is valued.
Adopt the engage "flow of focus" roadmap which is applicable to all business models. Profit-centered organizations and non-profit membership-centered associations need to create a 21st Century business model with an engaged focused workforce or membership. Remove the boxes of the “old way of thinking” or “we’ve always done it this way.” You will eliminate stagnation and replace it with innovation and sustainability.
Grow in all aspects of your organization. Engagement is a process with a revolutionary "flow of focus" concept including strategies and tools that create a unified workforce. The "flow of focus" is all about engaging and aligning employees’ goals and objectives with the organization's vision and shareholder's expectations. When employees hold in their hearts the vision of leadership, everyone wins.
Elevate and empower on an individual level. Engaged, focused employees experience less stress and more job satisfaction, resulting in improved client relations and increased productivity, profitability and sustainability. Empowered employees will become long-term employees, reducing hiring costs by increasing retention.
When you get engagement right, the employees, leadership and the corporation all win, which is ultimately passed on to the end user who becomes a return customer. Engagement is still the number one objective – if you get it right with everything else, including sustainability, you will have a much higher success ratio.
