Also, consider providing incentives and other forms of recognition to those who strive to do their best in any situation with which they are faced.
The attitudes brought to your work environment will play a significant role in the way that your team feels and behaves on a daily basis. Unless you take proactive steps to prevent it, one bad attitude is all it takes to ruin everyone's day. To combat this problem before it progresses, try leading by example; encourage your team to see the positive side of each situation and to find creative ways to solve common problems.
