When hospitals or pharmacies got the medicines, they scan the UI data in their FMD for Hospital . The data is compared with the UI uploaded by the manufacturer through NMVS of that area. Once verified, a confirmation message will be returned to the pharmacy or the hospital system.
Through this verification using FMD systems, pharmacies and hospitals can send messages to their local NMVS regarding the falsified medicines. This way, further use of the medicines in the same UI batch can be stopped. These systems are also used to stop the withdrawn products.
