What is Coronavirus?
Coronavirus (abbreviated “COVID-19”), the fast-spreading disease is a virus that causes illness ranging from the common cough & cold to fever, shortness of breath and severe respiratory symptoms i.e. Middle East Respiratory Syndrome & Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome. The new Coronavirus infection, with a considerable number of infectious cases morphing from mild to deadly, has emerged as a contender. The disease has not only caused panic but it has also hurt the economy of the countries with a majority of Coronavirus losses.
When and Where did it occur first?
The infectious disease was unknown before the outbreak instigated in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. Responding to an outbreak of severe respiratory diseases, Coronavirus was first detected in China. The virus is titled “SARS-CoV-2” and the disease it has been causing has been referred to as “Coronavirus disease”.

The infectious illness can spread from person to person through small droplets from the mouth or nose which are spread when a COVID-19 infected person coughs or sneezes. Other people can catch COVID-19 by touching the objects or surfaces where the droplets landed on, then touching their nose, eyes or mouth. It is highly recommended to keep at least 3 feet of distance from a sick person.

Highly advised to clean your hands thoroughly with an alcohol-based hand wash or wash them with soap and water.
Stay three feet apart from an infected person who you see is sneezing or coughing

Stay home if you feel sick or happen to witness any symptoms such as fever, cough, and difficulty in breathing. Seek medical advice at the earliest.
Ensure that you and the people around you practice good respiratory hygiene. Cover your mouth and nose with a mask or disposable tissue. Remember to discard the tissue in a bin immediately after use.
