Willpower is a powerful weapon to have in your personal arsenal. With enough willpower, it is possible to survive traumatic experiences that most people wouldn’t think it was possible to survive from. For example, if you get into a car crash, you can just give up and let yourself go, or you can tell yourself that you will survive and be OK. In that situation, who do you think would be the most likely to survive? The person who uses positive thinking exercises to will himself to stay alive. Just repeating the mantra that you will survive is an example of a positive thinking exercise.
The auto accident is obviously a very extreme example of a positive thinking exercise. The good news is that you can use exercises to help your thinking in everyday life. The rewards will be as great as living through an accident, without the trauma associated from it. But what are positive thinking exercises, and what are the rules for using them?
Positive thinking exercises are the way to train your brain into thinking that anything is possible. It is repeating things over and over in order for your mind to believe that they are true. With enough affirmations, you brain will be retrained into believing that anything is possible, and if your mind thinks that it is possible, you will find that the actual fact of it follows closely behind. If you think to yourself every day that it will be easy for you to get up an hour earlier than normal, you will train your mind to automatically wake you an hour earlier. All you are doing is training your mind that this is the right way to think.
One of the biggest tips when defining your own personal positive thinking exercises is to start out with easily achievable goals. This is a way to start getting your mind used to thinking of something and watching it come true. Getting up an hour earlier is a perfect example. It is a simple thing that can be easily accomplished. And when it happens, your mind will have proven that it is capable of accomplishing the goals set. Starting out small is the way to train your mind this way.
Another tip of positive thinking exercises is to remember not to dwell on the bad. Not everyone can be rich as Midas. In fact, many people don’t even want to have that much money. Not to mention that if this is a form of success for you it will take some time to achieve it. But if something does go wrong, or you make a mistake along this path, forgive yourself for it. Don’t dwell on your mistakes use them to help train your mind by pointing out that it is a human thing to fail. This will go a long way toward retraining your mind.
Positive thinking exercises are a powerful way to train your mind into thinking about life in a more positive manner. This positive manner will show you that anything is possible. With enough affirmations, you will find yourself truly believing that you can accomplish whatever goal you may have. By using your own set of positive thinking exercises, you will be well on your way to reaching any goal you have in life, which will help you survive any obstacle life throws your way.
