You all must be drinking mineral water everyday. The youngsters are fond of drinking colas so use plastic cans and bottles everyday. A writer needs to write everyday so in a form of pen, he needs plastic everyday and similarly, 97% of the total population use mobile phone which are made of plastic. Thus, in a nutshell, almost every person needs and uses plastic everyday in some or the forms. But, have we ever thought that from where do we get all this plastic and where does this waste plastic goes after usage?
Well...it goes to the recycling process. This is because of the fact that unused plastic harms the environment in some or the other way. Therefore, although not all the types of plastic product can be recycled but the major portion of the waste is necessarily recycled in the recycling houses. Like,if we will not recycle a plastic bottle, it would be dangerous for the environment. Plastic emitts carbon in the air that causes pollution. So, what we mean is that, recycling plastic helps in saving the environment.
Furthermore, recycling just means ending the plastic but it can be transformed into new and unique plastic products. For example, a pet plastic bottle can be recycled and remade into a plastic chair. But, in order to make furniture or similar plastic items, loads and loads of plastic is needed. The plastic bottles we find on the ground accumulate in thousands and thousands of tons and finally a furniture item is built.
One of the challenge faced in recycling of the plastic is that as compare to the glass the recycling of the plastic need long process and so it require the time and the heavy machinery rather that it is the fact that after the recycling of the plastic it is more useful than the glass or any other thing with which the same things can made. The structure of the plastic bottles are very intense type of the structure as it is made up of the polymer plastic so that the heating is not enough to melt the plastic it need more process than simple heating the bottle in the machine like one again the example of the glass is consider.
Plastic Recycling basically involves three processes:
Firstly, the entire plastic is accumulated and categorized into its forms.
This categorization is carried out on the level of the polymer used.
Then, monomer recycling is done.
After, the recycling of monomers is done, thermal depolymerization is carried out.
Finally, heat compression takes place.
These steps are carried out in order to make a desired plastic product. We hope the above passage came out to be useful for you and I will become a motivating step towards securing the environment and make it healthy, green and clean.
