Himachal Pradesh, Bihar and Chhattisgarh and their Current State

Every state in India contributes its growth. It can be political growth, environmental growth, social growth or economic growth. Every state has a unique quality which combines together to form India, as we see it today. Current affairs act as medium to shed light on the various aspects of these states and how they are helpful for our country's development on a global level. Three such states are briefly described here:

Bihar:
It is the 3rd largest populous state and 12th largest state in terms of geographical area.
The economy of Bihar has a large agricultural base, though a small portion also consists of industrial base.
It always tops the current affair column for the most corrupted states in India. The Transparency International India, states Bihar as the Union's most corrupt state in 2005.
Recently, current news about a new endeavour by the Bihar Government was spread all over. It is the Bihar Knowledge Center; a finishing school to train and prepare students with the latest skills, at an affordable price.

Himachal Pradesh:
It is considered one of the most beautiful places in India, covered by snowy mountains. Infact the name “Himachal Pradesh" suggests the same.
Agriculture contributes over 45% to the net state domestic product. It is the main source of income and employment in Himachal. Over 93% of the population in Himachal depends directly upon agriculture.
Even though Himachal is situated in a remote part of the country, its community of journalists is sprad throughout India. It reaches out through mediums like television or radio and exchanges its share of current affairs and happenings.
However, it best symbolizes the cultural diversity of India, since it is untouched by external forces due to its difficult terrain.

Chhattisgarh
Chhattisgarh was formed after 16 Chhattisgarhi speaking states of Madhya Pradesh gained statehood in November 2000.
It has a high female -male ratio ranking at 5th position among other states in India.
The thinking of the people of Chhattisgarh is dominated by superstitions. It is always in current affairs due to many incidents in Chhattisgarh where older women are considered to be witches.
Chhattisgarh has shown immense improvement in the recent years with a growing economic rate of 11.49 percent in 2009-2010.

Thus, Chhattisgarh or Himachal or Bihar, all have a different story to offer to us. They all constitute and symbolize different facets of India. Current affairs bring to us these various aspects and their impacts.
