Deceiving the Public about the Flu Vaccine

It was a pleasant afternoon; I had completed my appointments for the day and stopped into our local family-owned grocery store to pick up a few items. I was greeted by “the crackers and cheese lady as I passed the deli and I moving on to the produce dept. I saw a card table set up between the potatoes and onions. When I asked the lady what she was offering, she said, “the flu shot”. I said, “What? Right here between the potatoes and onions?” She asked me if I wanted one and I told her, “when pigs fly.” We talked a while and I asked her if I could have one of the inserts from the vaccine package. She tore off a sheet of paper from a pad and handed it to me. I looked at it and explained that I was interested in the actual insert that comes in the package from the pharmaceutical company. She was very pleasant and opened a box and found one for me. I thanked her and left, clutching a fake insert and a real insert in my greedy little hands. I was anxious to read them to see if the two concurred. Why would they go through the trouble of making up a fake insert when the real one is already there?
Upon returning home I discovered I had an insert for FLULAVAL, (it sounds so friendly – Flu-Love-All) it’s manufactured by Biomedical Corp. of Quebec and distributed by GlaxoSmithKline.
The reading got interesting right away, stating, “FLULAVAL is approved for persons 18 years and older”. Hmmm that’s odd (here’s where you’ll need to put on your intellectual seatbelts) because the fake insert plainly stated that, “All people 6 months of age and older should get the flu vaccine”. The fake insert goes on to tell you under the heading of WHY GET VACCINATED? “Young children, people 65 and older, pregnant women and people with certain health conditions -such as – heart, lung, kidney disease and a weakened immune system can get much sicker. Flu can cause high fever, pneumonia...blah blah blah… Did they say PREGNANT WOMEN? Another strange contradiction because in the real insert plainly says, “Safety and effectiveness of FLULAVAL have not been established in pregnant women, nursing mothers and children. REALLY? So are you saying that nursing mothers, pregnant women and children are being used as Guinea pigs? That’s what it sounds like to me! Is anyone getting mad yet? I hope so because these people are playing Russian roulette with our lives and are selling us their poison like some kind of sideshow shell game.
The reported side effects are too long to list here but they range from sore eyes, runny nose, swollen glands to Gillian-Barre syndrome, vomiting, somnolence (excessive sleep) and anaphylaxis. Let me add that they don’t mention sterility or cancer because they would not fall within the 21 day test period allowed for adverse event reporting.
Now on the fake insert it states that you shouldn’t take the vaccine if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. Well they must have forgotten to put the ingredients on the fake insert but not to worry, I’ve got the real McCoy…But what is this??? No ingredients there either? Perhaps they don’t want to list things like mercury, aborted fetus cells, formaldehyde, aluminum and foreign DNA from pigs, monkeys or chickens. Not to mention the biological and viral baggage that comes with that DNA.
Now here is piece de resistance; Tucked into the real insert are these words: “This indication is based on immune response elicited by FLULAVAL, and there have been no controlled trials adequately demonstrating a decrease in influenza disease after vaccination with FLULAVAL.” REALLY?
So are you going to get your flu vaccine this year? I hope not. I hope you will trust your immune system to do what it was made to do.
