Let’s take a closer look…
David A. Paterson was born on May 20, 1954 in Brooklyn, New York. No time known.
The back story to this article is that rumors were swirling around Albany, the capital of New York about David A. Paterson and his wife having mutual (probably not equal) long-term affairs while married to one another. The Patersons spoke to a reporter from the New York Daily News the day before he was inaugurated the new governor of New York ( replacing Eliot Spitzer who had a tryst with a hooker) to set the record straight. Not only did the Patersons confirm the affairs, between 1999-2001 (I must check the stars for the dates because this is the same time line that ex-aide Theodore Pedersen gave for the ‘Friday Night Specials, sexual liaisons with former governor James and his wife Dina McGreevey of New Jersey), but David also gave the name of the motel in which the down and dirty elicit affairs took place. (Was he trying to thank the motel for keeping his two-year affair a secret for as long as it did? Just asking).
As a Taurus, David A. Paterson is stubborn, resolute and loyal, even to a mistress-not so much to his wife it seems. His ruler, Venus is in the mutable and ‘anything goes’ sign of Gemini, conjunct Jupiter in Gemini. This is really a silver-tongued William Jennings Bryan-styled devil-”tell ‘em what they want to hear and never let them see you sweat”. This Gemini cluster of planets is how and why he was able to mosey onto the podium with his half-measure wife-remember-she also was ‘fooling around’-and get sworn into office with the same lying, cheating attributes that got Spitzer kicked to the curb. I guess you can screw around all you want to as long as you tell everybody and then take the helm of power. He beat the pundits and nosey neighbors to the punch-he and Mrs. Paterson ‘outed’ themselves-they told the story to a reporter before the chattering class could do them in. Sly fox, I want to tell you.
His Mercury, the communicator, is also in Gemini-trining Neptune. This is one of those politicians who will be around too long-he can lie and the voters will swear to it and keep him in office. He may be blind in one eye and sees through a misty cloud in the other, but he certainly found the recipe the snake oil salesman left behind. What a cad!
His Moon is in Sagittarius-this is the free range chicken placement-and it is opposed by Jupiter in Gemini. Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, in spite of the fact that he is short-sighted, he can wheedle his way in and out of bad situations faster than Dale Earnhardt, Jr. can move around the Indianapolis Speedway. I hope that New York does not give this scoundrel an inch or he will take the state.
The only other thing I want to say about this is that Eliot Spitzer was railroaded out of the Governor’s Mansion and David A. Paterson was given the keys. What hypocrisy and how sleazy for one man’s antics to be liable for expulsion and another cheater to be trumpeted into office. New York, you are in for a very down and dirty ride with this lying, cheating, two-timing sick sorry excuse for a man or governor. (Would somebody send this to him as a warning sign that there is more to come?)
I am posting two reports, one by Maureen Dowd-remember she’s the one reporter that I read spiritually not religiously and love how she says what she has to say. Here’s what she had to say when all the pundits were predicting the demise of Barack Obama.
LBN-COMMENTARY By MAUREEN DOWD: In many ways, Barack Obama’s speech on race was momentous and edifying. You could tell it was personal, that he had worked hard on it, all weekend and into the wee hours Tuesday. Overriding aides who objected to putting race center stage, he addressed a painful, difficult subject straightforwardly with a subtlety and decency rare in American politics. Certainly, Senator Obama was exercising sophisticated damage-control on his problem with Jeremiad Wright. But he did not pander as Mitt Romney did with his very challenging speech about Mormonism, or market-test his own convictions, as most politicians do. Unlike what the Clintons did to Lani Guinier, responding to her radical racial ideas by throwing her under the bus, Obama went to great pains to honor the human dimension of his relationship with his politically threatening “old uncle,” as he calls him.
The other report is by former White House aide to former President Bill Clinton, Dick Morris who weighed in today about the status of the Democratic race for the President of the United States.
LBN-POLITICAL BRIEFING By DICK MORRIS: Will the Gospel According to Jeremiah Wright sink the Obama candidacy? Not very likely. Let’s start with a basic fact: Sen. Barack Obama (Ill.) has already won the Democratic nomination. It’s over. Regardless of how the remaining primaries and caucuses go, including Michigan and even Florida, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) can never catch Obama in elected delegates. His current lead of 170 pledged delegates will not be overcome no matter what happens. Even if Clinton beats him by 10 points in each of these primaries, he will still lead among elected delegates by over 100. The super delegates will not override the will of the voters unless Obama is in jail. They will not let themselves in for a civil war by overruling a black man who is beloved by the young by going over the heads of the electorate and naming the candidate that lost the primaries as the nominee. Regardless of how damaged Obama may be by the Wright tapes, it will not provide sufficient cover or cause for them to do so.
So there you have it. I am so wary of one African-American and on the bandwagon of the other. I do not believe in being political correct; listen into Margaret Wendt and me on Spiritual Truths and you’ll know how off-center and neither left or right we are-we speak as we see what we see and hear what we hear. I would say the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States of America in a public school classroom and I would pray there and dare the A.C.L.U. to do anything about it.
I am colorblind when it comes to political candidates, or otherwise. I can call out a black man or woman as quick as I can white or yellow or whatever color is against the grain of what I know to be true. David A Paterson gets a resounding “No way” about his chances to enhance the great state of New York, from my intuitive and astrologically sound opinion. Barack Obama-he’s my man and I am going to the Inauguration in January 2009 when he is sworn in as the next President of these United States.
Ta ta.
