In the life state of appreciation, good things happen to your heart and body: your heart rate slows, your blood pressure drops, and your digestion is facilitated. You feel more peaceful, your stress diminishes and your immune system benefits. The crucial next step however is to use appreciation proactively to change your life circumstances.

The power of appreciation consists of two parts. One is the sort of automatic and natural gratitude one feels when one receives something but there is another dynamic to appreciation that is a proactive and a more powerful energetic vibration and that is: gratitude plus valuing. This is the type of gratitude that will transform your very life. The natural easygoing type of appreciation has to do with our heart but not our mind whereas the combination of active appreciation requires both our hearts and our minds. Finding value in a situation that one would perceive as negative takes effort and is a deliberate focusing of energy. This type of appreciation has the highest vibration.
The saying” Every cloud has a silver lining” is so very true but we need to really look for that silver lining. This is proactive, this is the life changing energy of appreciation.
How can we do this?
We can ask ourselves “How can this seemingly negative situation serve me?” We can pray for guidance. We can just know in our hearts (have faith) that everything is perfect in our perfect worlds, and therefore there must be a purpose to what’s going on. Is it a lesson, or a wake up call, or a huge blessing in disguise? We won’t see it if we don’t actively look for it.
In many scientific studies SPECT graphs show that the blood flows freely and abundantly in your brain when you are thinking appreciative thoughts. This helps in many ways such as: your ability to focus clearly, increased memory, physical coordination and increased energy. No wonder we can solve problems or overcome obstacles easily when we are in the mode of active appreciation.
