Many are on a quest to get the car, relationship, or job that proves their status, all of which must be shared on social media, so others know they’ve “made it.” If you don’t have a laundry list of accomplishments for Facebook, Twitter, or just on hand to rattle off during conversation, you might feel there is something wrong with you. To put it simply, it is for those who “want a life coach.” Wanting something positively implies that there is the perception of choice involved during the circumstance. Needing something implies that there is no choice involved in the situation and if that need is not met, there could be a negative outcome. 1. Are you ready to go from functional to optimal?
Do you want to take it to the next level? Is the “good enough” status quo not serving you anymore? If you answered yes, to these questions then you are on the right track. Life coaching is about getting the things that you really want by reaching your goals. The process stretches you outside of your comfort zone and you might even need to take some risks. Coaching is for those wanting to reach their peak, get there and then shoot for a new peak!
2. Do you want a supportive environment?
If you think supportive environment is synonymous with mushy stories and overly emotional moments, know that coaching can be so much more than that. Sure, depending on the situation, working with a coach can feel like a deep, cathartic experience. But the basis of a supportive, coaching environment is creating a safe space where you can talk to someone who has no judgment about your thoughts, actions and desires. They will not be offering endless advice, instead it will be your time grow, thrive, and shine.
3. Is clarity key?
How clear are you about your ambitions? What does success mean to you? Life coaching allows you to explore aspects of your life, career, and relationships from a new point of view. Seeing things from another perspective can increase your clarity and resolve. With the help of a coach, you get crystal clear on what you want and create a plan to get it. A concise vision is one of the first steps towards attaining anything.
