There are many advantages to maintaining a To-Do list, do you keep one?
A to-do list is one of the more important elements to a successful life: duties are noted to help with your memory, and tasks are collected in one place for easy reference.
To-Do lists have many advantages to help you stay on track here a just a few:
Creating a list is important to help your brain get the information as many ways as possible.
Having a visual reminder of projects and tasks help to keep you on track.
A To-Do list is superior to memory, which can be undependable at times.
Prioritize your To-Do list and rewrite it so that the more important tasks are at the top.
Review your list for tasks that can be done concurrently. Make the note to take care of these items together.
Your list lets you cross off finished tasks; at the end of the day you can feel satisfaction and accomplishment. Conversely, if you have nothing crossed off your list, you will more likely feel shocked.
At the end of the day, any tasks left over from today can be added to tomorrow’s list, which also gives you the opportunity to plan out the next day’s work.
There are two points to keep in mind as you work on your To-Do list.
First, keep it realistic. Don’t make the list longer than what you know you can handle on a good day.
Second, a daily To-Do list is not the only one you should be working on.
A weekly To-Do list is a natural companion for the daily list. On it you can note those things happening over the upcoming weeks without cluttering up your daily list. Depending on your goals and needs, you might also create lists by month and a list for the whole year. As needs and appointments approach, they can be moved to the weekly To-Do list, and then the daily when its time has come.
Remember not to wait until the end of the week or month to work on items from these lists. On your daily To-Do list, add those events or actions as you go.
The humble To-Do list can help you do amazing things that you thought too complicated or difficult. Anyone can handle one item at a time; and that’s all a project or goal is, a series of minor items that will bring you to project success. So what are you waiting for? Let's implement a To-Do list to alleviate your daily stressors.
