This explanation of relationships is too mental. Relationships are about the way a person feels about you, not the way he thinks about you. The main aspects that make a relationship hold or break are the polarity, complementariness, emotional connection and synergy. Emotional connection can happen on 4 levels: mind, heart, polarity and sexual. When there is a strong connection on all four levels, the logical aspects of the relationship don't mean much anymore. When a relationship is mental, you have to compromise here and there to make it work. When it's synergy, it's a whole different experience that amplifies each others' experience through life.

This is extremely interesting. The lesson is that we should massively invest in our relationship's positive account. That is the account that gets quickly depleted when unavoidable negatives creep in. My tendency is to think of the ratio being one to one, especially when I am thinking of trying to repair a negative that i have committed. It tends to be of more than one to one when the other person is trying to repair som damage that they have done. But the reality is the 1 to 5 ratio in any case! Brilliant. A very specific lesson to take to heart!

This is very interesting. It seems obvious that the positives in a relationship should outweigh the negatives, but sometimes when you're in a relationship it's hard to see these things for yourself.
