Write in a diary
To help manage your stress, write in a journal every day and discuss how you feel and react to different situations over the course of the day. That can help you identify which events are major stressors for you so that you can find better ways to respond or alleviate them.
Focus on your breathing and familiarize yourself with your own inner calm
In today's fast-paced, stressful work environment, it is easy to become overwhelmed. In order to minimize your stress level, take breaks when needed and lots of deep breaths; be gentle and patient with yourself, particularly if you are new to an organization or company. You can't expect yourself to know everything instantly.
Improve your own time management skills
Keep in mind that each day only has 24 hours. The amount of personal and work issues that you have to address on a daily basis can be overwhelming at times. Practicing good time management is very important. Some of the more common time management methods include scheduling certain blocks of time for addressing specific issues and keeping lists of certain items that need to be addressed every day. According to Kimberly Kruse we should remember that when you say "yes" to one thing" that you are inherently saying "no" to others. Prioritize your activities, and then make A, B, and C lists. Your A-list are your top priority items, while the C-lists are things that will get done when you can.
Learn how to say "no."
For many of us, it can be difficult to tell someone "no." However, if we want to maintain our sanity and health, then at times this is absolutely necessary. That is especially true whenever you are asked to do something at work that is outside of your daily responsibilities or when you are asked to do too much.
