1. When you keep looking at the horoscopes of the known persons and keep getting information about their life events, your understanding of astrology keep getting refined. This is a gradual process and each day.
2. As you read more books there is more confusion because some books are not correct and not based on much research and some books have been written with respect to a time and space which has changed significantly and accordingly the interpretations in those books need revision.
3. It makes no sense to start from scratch and develop this subject completely. The best approach is to understand the teachings of Sages correctly and then experiment to confirm our understanding.
4. Understanding and accepting that a problem exists is the first step in fixing it. While we certainly want to keep the sanctity of the subject of astrology intact and not unduly worry about having it accepted as a science, it can only do good to apply the paradigms of modern science and approach astrology with a rational outlook.
5. Astrology has gained popularity due mainly to the concept that the predictions are what is making things happen, so if bad, then bingo, you have something to blame the influence in your life on.
6. Astrology is not magic it's science and maths which have their own sets of rules and requires tedious calculations to get the outcome.
7. The correct knowledge of the science of Vedic astrology is broken into parts and hidden in small corners of India. There are a lot of traditional families in India, which guard some special astrological techniques as “family secrets”.
8. Astrology is real, but the original practice, scriptures, knowledge, dharma, serenity, is hidden means in the 8th house… But one day it will flourish.
9. Sometimes whatever interpretation ancient astrology makes may contradict in modern perspective such as earlier any person has yoga to stay away from family for earning was considered as very bad yoga but now it is considered as powerful yoga for abroad settlement.

Some people will find it completely makes no sense to them, while others might be truly interested in forecasting their future and getting the idea of what might be coming up in their life, just to prevent bad things from happening, or so to say, at least help alleviate the impacts of the negative things in their life.
