Cookie Policy
Effective date:
This policy explains the technologies SelfGrowth currently uses to operate the Services, remember privacy choices, and—only when you choose to enable it—measure use of SelfGrowth through analytics and privacy-masked session replay.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text records stored by a browser. Similar technologies can include local or session storage and server-side records that respond to a privacy choice. Some are necessary to deliver a requested service; optional analytics require the choice described above.
Necessary technologies
These technologies support sign-in, security, session continuity, and privacy choices. They are not used for cross-site advertising.
Optional analytics and session replay
When analytics are enabled, SelfGrowth may record page or content views, internal link selections, outbound-link domain labels, route paths without query strings or fragments, timestamps, coarse browser and device characteristics, and pseudonymous device and session identifiers. These measurements help us understand aggregate use, reliability, navigation, and content usefulness.
Optional analytics do not run without a valid analytics choice under the current design. SelfGrowth does not send PostHog an email address, name, or authenticated account identifier and disables identified visitor profiles. After opt-in, PostHog uses a pseudonymous in-memory device and session identifier only for the currently loaded application session. This initial configuration uses PostHog's memory-only persistence, so its identifier and entry URL are not retained in cookies or browser storage across page reloads. SelfGrowth's necessary consent cookie separately remembers your analytics choice. Nearby-event analytics are not intended to include precise coordinates, manually entered place text, distance, or geocoder payloads.
PostHog, Inc. processes consented analytics and privacy-masked session replays for SelfGrowth. Replays are limited to approved public routes; authentication, payment, administrative, onboarding, private-profile, and privacy-request routes are excluded. Input values, page text, and element attributes are masked in the browser before transmission. Network headers and bodies, canvases, cross-origin frames, console logs, and automatic exception capture are disabled in this initial configuration.
When enabled, Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights process redacted page-path and aggregate performance information for SelfGrowth through first-party collection endpoints. SelfGrowth removes query strings and fragments and excludes authentication, payment, administrative, onboarding, private-profile, and privacy- request routes. Vercel Web Analytics does not use analytics cookies; its anonymous request hash resets daily. Speed Insights does not reconstruct a visitor's browsing session across pages.
Marketing and targeted advertising
SelfGrowth does not currently use marketing cookies, retargeting pixels, social-media pixels, or technologies for cross-context behavioral advertising. If those practices change, we will update the Privacy Policy and this Cookie Policy and provide the notices and choices required before the new processing begins.
Browser and device controls
Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies and site storage. Blocking all cookies may prevent sign-in and other requested features from working. Browser privacy controls operate separately from SelfGrowth's privacy choices.
For broader information about our practices and privacy rights, read the Privacy Policy or submit a Privacy Request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our technologies, providers, purposes, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and request a new choice when appropriate.
