A Free Multimedia onscreen eBook by Phil L. Méthot

So your boss has asked you to prepare a PowerPoint presentation and present it to the sales team, so what do you do? Like most people - PANIC!!!

Fear not. Well, you will anyway, but let's make it less painful. Phil (actually and truthfully that's me), has created a multimedia presentation that you can read, watch and listen to on your computer. This onscreen eBook, covers 10 aspects to Public Speaking that are very important to making a good impression while you speak, and also to make it fun, (well, okay, at least survivable).

The 10 steps to Great Public Speaking includes information on Body Language, Tone of Voice, the use of jargon, and some do's and don'ts of PowerPoint presentations. You'll even find Phil doing a PowerPoint with him actually in the presentation talking about how to do it!

I'm sure you have heard lots of pointers about where to put your hands, eye contact etc. Phil's background in human behaviour allows him to understand body language for what it really is, and therefore how to make it very natural so that you don't have to focus on it as you are trying to speak.

This book was created in the spirit of fun, and you get the impression that Phil was having a great time I was)making it. Make no mistake, however, there is something here even for the paid speaker to learn. You can get it here.

Technically, the eBook is a .dnl book. All that means is that it runs on a very little program called the dnl reader, that you can also download free along with Phil's book. It is the dnl reader that allows for the book to appear like a real book with turning pages on your screen, and allows for embedded audio/video right in the pages. Once you have the .dnl reader there are hundreds of free books available for download for your enjoyment.

Public Speaking may be a challenge, but it is a challenge that has its rewards. Foremost it allows you to conquer a fear that seems to afflict so many at such a deep level. It allows you to become a member of that rare community of people who can influence others with their words and their presence.

Have fun, reading and watching, and maybe take a moment to comment on what you liked, or didn't about the book. 10 Steps To Becoming A Great Speaker
