10 things you should not do while visiting Dubai

Unlike European countries, you are not allowed to kiss or hug your partner publicly. While holding hands for married couples is okay in the streets of Dubai.
4. Hurling obscenities will lead to huge penalties:
Since Dubai is a conservative place when it comes to language. You are always expected to behave politely with the opposite person and you shouldn’t use slangs and bad words also. So beware of this thing while you are in Dubai.
5. Dancing is a big no-no in public:
Unlike North America, you cannot dance in the public places of Dubai. It is allowed only in the licensed dance clubs, pubs or in your home. However, you cannot listen to loud music also.
6. Mind your left hand:
The Arabians always prefer to use the right hand in doing all the stuff. If you are a leftie, then you need to mention the person surrounding you about this otherwise they might get offended with your use of left hand.
7. Possession of drug:
Drug consumption in Dubai is strictly prohibited. If you are caught cannabis with you then you will be imprisoned for at least 4 years. Hence, for a safe trip to Dubai, stay away from Drugs.
8. Taking photographs of women:
Clicking pictures of Arabian women without her consent is considered illegal. You will be strictly frowned upon if you show any disrespect towards any women in public. Apart from that, you have to behave properly with women while paying dignity and respect.
9. Medicines containing psychotropic substances is not legal
If you are in medication or if you want to carry any medicines with you, the doctor’s prescription is mandatory. According to the Foreign Office of Dubai, if you are under any medication then you must carry your prescription with you.
10. Check your clothing when you are outside:
When it comes to dressing, then UAE is way more lenient compared to American and European countries. We would recommend you to dress modestly when you are visiting malls. Cover your heads and ankle when you are visiting the mosques and other religious places. Wear bikinis in the beach where there are absolutely no restrictions.
