10 Ways To Be Different On Valentine's Day

If you are fed up and feel been there done that then think “out of the box” for Valentine’s 2008. Don’t follow the herd be a trend setter and make the day memorable. While the world thinks Valentines Day means flower, chocolates, perfume, or jeweler you could dare to be different.

So plan the celebration early and save money. Schedule your travel and work plans early in the year so that you can take an off on Valentine’s Day which in 2008 falls on a Thursday and precedes president’s day weekend.
Here are a few ideas to set you thinking:
1. Have you spend many Valentine’s together. Then take your loved one back a few years and plan a trip to a place that was special very special –it could be a park, motor bike ride to a special point, a home town, or high school or college. Think about retracing your romance.
2. If you have adventure in your veins then plan a trek or camping rendezvous for the two of you.
3. Think about whether you would enjoy sky diving, deep sea diving, or gamboling with friendly dolphins together. If the answer is yes then find a lovely adventure weekend for two.

5. If you love wines take a romantic getaway to a vineyard with quaint surroundings and quiet.

8. Go on a gourmet trip and enjoy the delicacies that will tickle your senses.
9. Consider spending time in a castle or on a bicycle tour.
10. Try out exciting things like sailing or diving for sunken treasure.
These are just ideas to set your mind thinking. Choose an activity both of you will enjoy. Valentine’s day is for “saying I love you” and enjoying your time together. Plan the get away quietly and surprise your loved one. However work within your budget and do not get into debt. Be prudent and create each year a “ Mine & Yours” stash of funds for occasions and events. Enjoy the celebrations without feeling a pinch.
