Sadness and Bangkok don't go together. If you are somehow alone in this city of glamour, you still can't be lonely. There are a lot of places where you can have fun. Let's exercise those smile muscles and get ready to enjoy in Bangkok.
1. Visit Chinatown
If you are sad in Bangkok, you've got to visit Chinatown. It will cheer you up in a minute, especially if you are a foodie. Wait for the sunset. That's when the entire city assembles here for the best delicacies of Asia. This place just oozes with vibrant and positive energy and it's impossible to be sad here.
2. Come face to face with ocea
Under the Siam Paragon shopping mall is a huge aqua-land which is far bigger than three Olympic swimming pools combined together. This aquarium has a collection of strange looking water creatures from all around Asia. Come face to face with beautiful sea creatures and wake the little child in you.
3. Watch 4D Movies
You can't stay sad while watching the strikingly awesome 4D movies of Sanyo 4D-Xventure. The whole setup is made for a virtually real scenario which will force you to scream and giggle from joy no matter how sad you are. Forget the 3D movies that you have watched. This 4D adventure will make you forget all sorrows as you experience a different type of virtual world.
4. Visit Madam Tussauds
Of course you have heard of Madam Tussauds wax museum. Everyone has. They have a museum in Bangkok as well. Now get your pictures taken with your favorite celebrities: practice martial arts with Bruce Lee, talk to Oprah and shoot hoops with Yao Ming. That's the perfect way to rub shoulders with your favorite celebrities.
5. Go Ice Skating
Ice skating is for all ages- it doesn't matter if you are 10 or 50- ice skating will lure you to its white coolness as you slide on the hard surface. It is a non-stop thrill that fills joy in unhappy hearts. But if you are planning to try it out, make sure you cover yourself up well because it's going to be cold in there.
6. Shop at the floating market
Shopping is a cheering hobby. Of course it is expensive, but if you plan your budget right, you can have lots of fun while spending the least. And floating markets aren't even about designer clothes or jewelry, so your money is safe. These markets feature boats laden with vegetables and tropical fruits along with delicious juices and local food. You can have a relaxed guided boat tour through the watery lanes and enjoy local foods as well.
7. Watch butterflies
What can be a better way to cheer up than to watch colorful butterflies flutter by? In the Bangkok Butterfly Garden, you'll find hundreds of different wildflowers which are the homes of several beautiful butterflies. There are flowers, cooling waterfalls, shady ferns, and pretty rockeries- all of them combining to be one scintillating experience.
8. Go Bowling
If bowling is your type of game, you'll find bowling alleys on the top floors of almost all the Bangkok malls. This is the kind of sport that would suit all age groups.
9. Have water park fun
Water parks are fun for everyone. Visit a water park and you'll cheer up in a couple of minutes. There are all types of rides: scary rides, wild rides, fun rides, and calm rides. And there isn't just one Water Park in Bangkok- you can visit Dream World, Wonder World, Fantasia Lagoon, Leoland, and Siam Park.
10. Wat Arun
