12 Effective Herbal Treatments and Remedies to Clear Pimples

Pimple is a kind of acne and affects many people. It is a common skin condition and is the result of excess oil getting trapped in the pore of the skin. The pores can get blocked when the dead skin cells stick together by the sebum produced by the sebaceous glands. These glands continue to produce the sebum and it builds up causing infection. Herbal treatment to clear pimples is a safe and effective was to get rid of these pimples. Other treatments available are medications, gels, ointments and creams for topical application.

Pimples may be caused by raging hormones, birth control pills, certain medications, pregnancy, menstrual periods and certain cosmetics. It could be a heredity condition too. The herbal treatment to clear pimples is as follows:

1. Neem: Neem is a useful and a very beneficial herb to clear pimples. It can be used for any skin problem and it has anti bacterial properties. The neem leaves can be crushed and applied or mixed with turmeric and neem oil and then applied.

2. Fenugreek: Take the leaves of fenugreek and make a paste by grinding them. Apply this on the pimple affected skin and leave it on for some time. Then rinse your face.

3. Coriander and Mint: For a herbal treatment to clear pimples, mix mint juice with coriander and a pinch of turmeric. Apply this paste regularly.

4. Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera gel is an effective and natural cure for treating pimples. Aloe Vera has anti bacterial and anti inflammatory properties which helps in treatment of acne. This enzyme rich gel can be applied directly on the skin or taken internally for a detoxification effect. This aids in flushing out the toxins and in clearing the skin.

5. Tea Tree Oil: Tea tree oil is an effective herbal treatment to clear pimples and it helps in this condition as it contains Terpenes which is a bacteria fighting substance. This substance kills the bacteria and helps to clear pimples.

6. Nutmeg: Grind nutmeg and mix with milk and apply in the pimples.

7. Rose Water: Mix rose water with lime juice and use as a face wash.

8. Mint juice: Mint juice can be applied on the skin to treat and clear pimples.

9. Alum: This is a natural astringent and an antiseptic. It is beneficial in treating pimples and acne.

10. Silk Cotton Tree: This is also an astringent and has anti inflammatory properties. It is an effective herbal treatment to clear pimples.

11. Aspen Tree Leaves: Steam the leaves of Aspen Tree and use as a compress on the pimples.

Apart from following the herbal treatment to clear pimples, one should drink plenty of water every day.
