In this article, I am going to provide 3 fast ways for you to improve your skills even if you are a complete beginner who has never played acoustic guitar but are keen to learn.

1. Take Part In Jamming Sessions With Guitar Pros With Different Techniques

Like it or not, every guitarist will find themselves facing a brick wall at some point in their lives.

They feel like they are heading nowhere. No matter how much time and effort they put in practising, they could not improve naturally the way they want and expect to.

Although practising on your own gives you plenty of time and flexibility, it is not recommended for complete beginners. It is like studying to pass exams without a teacher. Moreover, playing guitar requires some creativity and uniqueness other than just sheer hard work and determination.

So the best way is to participate in jamming sessions with guitar pros - those who have been playing guitar for years - with different techniques and learn from them. But as much as you are prepared to learn, you also have to be prepared to take criticism, be humble and open to their advice which will ultimately be the key to your success.

2. Always Have Your Guitar Strip Ready

1 thing about guitar strips is that many new guitarists do not use them for fear of being looking awkward and unnatural. But more often than that, the result is the exact opposite.

Without the guitar strap, your posture and the way you hold guitar looks unnatural especially when you are standing. If you are nervous about playing in front of people, that will even be worse as that affects your morale and even causes you to forget some music notes.

Unless you become experienced and natural with playing guitar, it is advisable to always have your guitar strip ready on your shoulder and locked to the guitar while you play.

Also before buying it from shops, do check with the owner or assistants to have the strip well-secured to the guitar as the last thing you want is dropping the guitar accidentially to the floor while playing.

3. Sustaining Interest

Even the best guitarists will, at some point in time, discover that playing the guitar becomes a hinderance.

They all tend to go back and forth with their love for the guitar. However, what is important is that they know it is a natural process of playing guitar.

The only way to solve this problem is to come up with brand new style using what they already know but taking to the next level. If they are unable to come up with any, they will take a break by going on vacations, spending more time with family and doing other things. Once their mind becomes refreshed and body more energetic, they resume playing with more ideas than they think initially.

At times they go to great lengths of learning from other guitar pros as well.
