What can be more fun other than spending time doing some creative visualization of your ultimate dreams? Just imagine achieving your wildest goals, having an ideal job and traveling to some far-flung corner of the world?

Unfortunately, when it comes to visualization, many people do not make the time for it. They do not see the benefits of allocating a couple of minutes each day. They view it as a waste of time. They would rather spend more time doing left brained activities, believing that these are more likely to bring in more effective results. However, this thinking is far from the truth.

In fact, spending some time even as little as ten minutes each day can draw great benefits. Additionally, you do not need to be an expert in mental imagery in order to harness its benefits. Making creative visualization fun can also take away the initial dread of getting started. Here are 3 tips in showing you how to make the activity a welcomed one!

1. Acting What-If. You know that visualization draws its powers from your ability to picture the image of your dream goal, like a $10,000 savings account or losing those stubborn pounds. But you don’t have to lock yourself in a room and meditate in order to give those images real power – instead, act out your goals!

Give your imagery some oomph by performing an activity that you’d do if you already had your goal. Dreaming of a lucrative investment portfolio? Go meet with a local investment advisor. Want to lose weight? Buy an item of clothing in one size smaller than your current size. Want to buy a new Victorian home? Go to an open house and take pictures. It’s a fun way to give your visualization time vivid and powerful imagery!

2. Use the Power of Your Imagination! Who says that you have to visualize the same thing over and over again in a repetitive boring manner? When it comes to creative visualization, there’s only one rule: anything goes! Spin a creative yarn and tell it in different ways!

Do not feel like you have to restrict yourself when visualizing the things you want. Go wild instead! If you wish to have a cottage in the mountains, picture yourself working in your pristine garden outside of your beautiful home. Like to lose weight? Picture how many heads you will turn when you’re walking down the street with your new fabulous body. And if you’re dreaming of going back to school, do not just picture a diploma – instead, visualize yourself attending classes, meeting new people and making important connections with your professors and teachers.

3. Join a Yoga Class With Guided Imagery Sessions. If you are not a fan of relaxing and meditating alone, then join yoga and meditation classes at your local gym or recreation center. Some classes take you on guided imagery sessions. By joining a group activity, you make it a social event. You get connected with a group of like-minded folks who are more likely to encourage you.

As you can see, when it comes to creative visualization, the most important feature is this: the more fun you have with it, the more you align yourself with better-feeling thoughts. When you do so, your vibrations shift upwards to match those of your desired dreams!
