Everyone wants to get six pack abs, but it seems that very few people can - why is this? As someone who's been working in the fitness industry for nearly a decade now, let me tell you that it's not what you think.

Part of it is certainly a lack of discipline, but a big piece of the puzzle is a lack of knowledge. People simply don't know how to get a six pack, and they go about it in all the wrong ways.

With this in mind, here's some expert tips that I've collected over the years, that helped me go on to become a successful fitness model and author.

1. The ECA Stack
The ECA Stack, otherwise known as combining Ephedrine, Caffeine, and Aspirin, is a potent and effective way to drastically up your metabolism and fat burning.

To properly take the ECA Stack you'll first need to get your hands on some Bronkaid, caffeine pills, and baby aspirin.

One dose is a 25mg Bronkaid pill (which contains ephedrine), a caffeine pill (which is typically 200mg of caffeine), and a baby Aspirin, which is 81mg of Aspirin.

Take this dose three times a day, but be careful at first. If you're sensitive to stimulants, start with just one in the morning, and see how your body can handle it.

2. Intermittent Fasting
Intermittent fasting has been all the rage nowadays, and perhaps rightly so. By simply not eating for the first few hours of your day, you can effectively trigger a cascade of metabolism-boosting hormones.

Not to mention the fact that it's way easier to eat less calories when you simply don't eat breakfast! Can't do it that easily? No worries, try having some sparkling water and coffee. The caffeine in the coffee will blunt your hunger, and the sparkling water will do the same.

If it weren't for intermittent fasting, I doubt I ever would've learned how to get a sixpack. It was absolutely crucial in leaning down all the way to 8% bodyfat and lower.

3. Modafinil
We've previously talked about the value of nootropics here on Self Growth, but one frequently under looked nootropic is actually also very lesser known.

Modafinil, otherwise known as "NZT-48" from Limitless, is a specific smart drug that's being used all over the world, with very profound effects.

In fact, simply learning how to get modafinil was one of the biggest contributors to me getting a six pack. When I have modafinil each day, it blunts my hunger and allows me to eat way less calories.

It also makes me laser focused, which is just what you want in the gym. I personally got a prescription, prescribed off label for the use of ADHD, but this will depend on your insurance company and doctor.

4. Ketosis
Another great way to get six pack abs is through following the ketosis diet. You remember that old fad, the Atkins Diet, that was big a couple of decades ago? Yep, that's basically what ketosis is.

Similar to the steak and eggs diet ketosis is basically just an all fat diet. So eat all the bacon, avocados, coconut oil, and meats that you want - it's all good so long as there's no carbs.

When you only eat fats, you don't trigger a critical chemical to be released in your body known as glucose, which is critical for building six pack abs and slimming down. Glucose tells your body to "store fat" so avoiding this at all costs is great.
