What are the opportunities to save money my phone bill?

1) Consolidation - for your family to use a particular wireless carrier may save you money. Wireless companies like Verizon Wireless to offer family plans that allow you to talk among themselves, without using any minutes of your allotted amount each month. Also, if you have any extended family or friends who are using the same carrier (like Verizon), you do not use any of your minutes.

2) Skype - If you have not heard of Skype's Internet phone service, which can run off the desktop, laptop, Tablet PC and Smartphone. It works with Windows and Apple's IOS operating system. It uses the web video phone calls, which means that you need to use a video camera attached to your computer or your smart phone will have front facing camera. The good news is that if you already have the hardware (I have one of the new handsets from Apple, 4S, a front facing camera), it is certainly possible to look at. Depending on your plan, you can get free phone calls via Skype. There are other plans, both personal and business purposes, that cost a few cents per minute to their premium service, which should only cost a few dollars per month subscription fee.

3) E-mail - Since most people access the Internet any of these days, and probably e-mail account, why not use it instead of calling? E-mail, can not always replace a phone conversation, especially when the topic is sensitive, or difficult to convey their message in writing. However, there are times when you really need to talk to someone quickly and e-mail address will do just fine. Google's Gmail and Hotmail, Microsoft's email service providers, such as free Internet and easily create and use.

4) VoIP Internet Phone Service - Another great opportunity to save your phone bill to use a new VoIP home phone service. Similar to Skype uses the Internet to call these cheap phone service providers is well worth looking into. Such as Ooma is a popular choice, markets and services that I personally use. I was tired of paying $ 50/month regular AT & T landline, which I hardly used it. I was not ready to completely rid your home phone service (not 100% sure, cellular networks, I always give a signal in the city), so I decided to go to the Ooma last year. So far, it has been great. You can connect the Ooma box, cable modem Internet and your home phone, step through the installation process, and to act.

You pay for the hardware front, which is more than $ 100, but then you have monthly fees, only a few dollars a month in taxes and fees. We upgraded to a premium service, which offers some additional benefits that have been essential to our business, but shall not be required for your specific needs. One of the features I like it when someone leaves a voice in our Ooma machine, it is automatically stored as a file digital.
