There is so much to do in Australia that it will take a few lifetimes to do them all. Explore and Experience the Great Barrier Reef - Situated just off the Pacific Coast of Queensland in Australia, and spread over 2600 km, is this magnificent coral formation. The reef is home to thousands of species of sea life, and you will find yourself waving to dolphins and sea turtles. It is the world’s largest coral reef, and it offers superb diving opportunities. Day trips are offered from several of the coastal towns including Cairns, Port Douglas and Townsville.
Uluru (The Ayers Rock) – The famous Central Australian Outback is home to the largest monolith, the Ayers Rock, or Uluru, as it is known in the native aboriginal language. This sandstone rock rises to a height of 1142 ft., and changes hues to brilliant shades of red. Watch this beautiful phenomenon, particularly at sunrise and sunset.
The lovely Sydney Opera House and the Harbor Bridge - The Opera House, one of the defining landmarks of Australia, is a renowned performing arts center. It’s fabulous design is an architectural marvel, and a guided tour is well worth your time. Walk across the Harbor Bridge for a breathtaking view of the Opera House. A visit to Australia is incomplete without a visit to the Sydney Opera House, and all Australia tour packages have this on their itinerary.
Meet some of the native inhabitants at the Lone Pine Sanctuary – Located in Brisbane, this is the largest and oldest koala sanctuary in the world. Say hello to the absolutely adorable koalas, and have a rendezvous with some kangaroos. You can even get personal and feed some kangaroos if you like!
Drive along the Great Ocean Road - One of the world’s most scenic drives, this will truly take your breath away.
