Real estate agents have extremely stressful jobs and we at Hamilton Real Estate know it all too well. While working so hard to get you the best deals available realtors often forget to take care of their own health and wellbeing which can result in health complications. This is why we are going to share with you some of the tips from very successful realtors to maintain your health while being good at your job. You don’t have to choose between the two and it is the perfect balance between health and work that will give you long term benefits.
1. Remember to take breaks:
This might sound weird to some of you if we advise you to take regular short breaks during work but it is extremely helpful to improve your focus. You might think that if you are taking short breaks it will take you longer to actually finish any task but that’s not true. When you take short breaks during work your focus improves and you experience a boost of energy. This has proven to be not only helpful for your health but also the work that you are doing.
2. Regular exercise:
You might find it difficult to find time for regular exercise because of your stressful job as a realtor but it is necessity to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Even if you cannot take time out for a proper workout routine that lasts for hours you should at least spare a few good minutes towards regular exercising every day.
3. Give time to friends and family:
In your miserable routine as a realtor where you might have to work for up to 60 hours a week, you need to take time out to have a little fun with your friends and family. It is very important to spend time and have some fun activities with your loved ones if you want to make sure that you remain mentally and physically healthy. You have to make sure that you are not just following a go to work, come back home and sleep routine. It is important to take time out and go on a picnic, a movie or dinner with your family.
4. Limit caffeine intake:
While you think that coffee is great for work as it keeps you focused you have to look at the side effects of excessive caffeine intake on your body. You don’t have to give up all together especially during the stressful time at work but you just have to make sure that your caffeine intake is not more than what it is supposed to be.
5. Avoid junk food:
Junk food is fast to get and fast to eat and when you are working a stressful job and want to save time this might seem like the only good option that you have. But junk food is filled with empty calories and has little nutritional value. It can also cause plenty of other diseases so it is better that you avoid it.
6. Don’t work seven days a week:
When you are working as a realtor, you have a lot of work to do and sometimes you think that it is better if you work all seven days a week. This can be extremely harmful to the body as your body and mind both need rest from work at least one day a week. Make sure that you at least have one full day off from work if you want to remain healthy.
