The network marketing industry hasn't received a good reputation over the years for one simple fact.

It's not because the industry stinks - the industry itself is great, but in a nutshell, it's the marketing tactics forced on distributors who go out in a cowboy-type fashion and harass just about every one in their path.

It's one of the 7 great lies of network marketing - just follow the simple business plan but in effect, the simple business plan has done more harm to the industry's reputation than any other.

If this sounds hard then ask yourself why 97% of network marketers never get into a positive cash flow. Is it because the simple business plan works.

Sieg made some very interesting observations in the 7 Great Lies and while some people may have initially been offended by the claims, the majority would have resonated with her report.

For example, one would assume network marketing would have something to do with marketing. It's no secret that when you learn how to market effectively there aren't too many products or services in the world you couldn't successfully promote.

Well, one of the core principles of the simple business plan in MLM is to treat every one as a prospect. In effect, what it's meant is that every one suddenly becomes fair game to be prospected for something which they have no interest in.

It's one of the first rules of marketing - never try to sell to anyone who has no interest in your offer. It cuts to the core of proper attraction marketing principles , such as those taught in The Renegade Network Marketer and brands one as a serial pest even amongst their friends and relatives.

The worst sales message delivered to a targeted market will get more results than a sales message delivered to an untargeted market. The latter is simply hit and miss and the truth is, it's mostly miss.

People don't want to buy what is being forced down their throats. That's just human nature but this tactic of looking at everyone as a prospect continues to head the list of the 7 great lies of network marketing.
